Can You Believe These 6 Weird Plants Were Grown in Smart Gardens?!

Can You Believe These 6 Weird Plants Were Grown in Smart Gardens?!

Thanks to the innovation of Smart Gardens and enthusiastic community members, we’ve witnessed some incredible indoor garden displays over the years.

We also value creativity among our community very highly. Experimental Plant Pods allow indoor gardeners to grow their own seeds in Smart Gardens using revolutionary Smart Soil.

When it comes to gardening, though, boundaries are meant to be pushed! Here are a few examples of some of the quirkiest plants ever grown in Click & Grow systems:

1. Sequoia

Incredibly, someone was able to grow this beauty indoors. Sequoia is a genus of redwood coniferous trees. It belongs to a species which includes the tallest living trees on Earth. Sequoia is commonly referred to as ‘coastal redwood’ and ‘California redwood’.

2. Tangerines

Success has been found in growing tangerines in a Smart Garden. Did you know the citrus tangerine originated from China? It’s currently grown in many other parts of the world due to its refreshing taste and the fact it’s a great source of vitamin C.

3. Goji Berry

Another community member experienced success in growing Goji berries. The seeds only took 2 days to sprout! Goji berries are native to Asia and often used in traditional Asian cuisine. The taste of dried goji berries is somewhat similar to cranberries and cherries.

4. Sunflowers

Yes indeed, it’s possible to grow these charming plants indoors! Turns out they love our Smart Soil. Sunflowers are native to the Americas and are highly valued for their use in dye, food, and oil. They’ve also become synonymous with cheerfulness and goodwill.

5. Avocado

Some of our community members have managed to grow this amazing superfood in their Smart Gardens. It’s often believed that avocados originated in the Tehuacan Valley in the state of Puebla, Mexico. Avocados are an excellent source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6.

6. Venus Flytrap

Several community members have been successful in growing Venus Flytraps using their Smart Gardens. This carnivorous plant is native to subtropical wetlands on the East Coast of the United States. Just try to avoid poking them with your finger! These plants prefer insects.

What unusual plants have you tried growing in your Smart Garden? Feel free to share your plant images and updates in our Facebook community, we’d love to hear from you.
