Hey all! I've had a lot of questions lately about suitable plant lamps. So here is a tiny commented list with suitable products. If you are interested - check them out! 1. Plant LEDs - Check here. Blue and red leds are the most energy efficient plant lighting technology. A bit expensive though. Additional lighting with leds will produce heavy crops fast, but the purple light might not suit with all interiors. 2. Energy saving bulbs - Like this one. Almost every energy saving bulb will do! Best are the ones emitting "cool white" spectrum. You can find them in every hardware store and they fit almost all lamp sockets. A great and budget friendly technology, which will speed up plant growing. |

Plant lamps -
Lately I have had lots of questions about how to increase yields and get the most out of a Click & Grow flower pot. As watering and fertilizing are taken care of (we have spent years on the "really best" programs), the most impressive effect can be achieved with hardcore lighting.
So what is the meanest lighting technology out there? I will put here a comparison table with luxes (light power in lumens per square-metre). Take a note, that the more light a plant will get, the faster it will grow. It is almost impossible to have too much light. For example commercial busy lizzy growers recommend at least 15 000 lux for 8 hrs a day. But this is hardcore.
How to get the maximum out of your Click & Grow? -
All plants grow seeds. Some do it only very rarely. Seeds are a mechanism for evolution - when cloning reproduces identical plants, plants grown from seeds are a combination of the genotypes of the mother and father. Every combination is slightly different and this is the base for breeding new plant varieties.
